Once upon a time, there were three bears. Actually, this book is about an otter, a buffalo chief, and a spotted frog, and what happens to them during a great flood. Think New Orleans circa 2005 with Hurricane Katrina. But with a Spotted Frog warning everyone about its pending arrival.
